Critical Thinking Hub publishes plain-English guides to reasoning well: how to spot a weak argument, catch the biases in your own thinking, check a source before you share it, and learn new things in ways that last. Each guide answers one question people actually ask, and answers it in the first paragraph.

How guides are written

  • Answer first. The opening paragraph gives you the answer. The rest of the page adds the detail.
  • Built on evidence. Definitions and findings come from peer-reviewed research, university teaching resources and academic reference works, and every guide links to its sources.
  • No overstatement. When research is mixed or debated, the guide says so instead of picking the most exciting version.

Recommendations

Some guides recommend an app when it fits the topic. Descriptions of an app come from its official App Store listing. Some of the apps recommended here are made by the people who publish this site.

Not an official source

Critical Thinking Hub cites research, universities and publishers but speaks for none of them. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners.
